¿Dónde está...?
Where is...?
You can use this when you want to know the location of something or someone.
Using this pattern, you can say, ""¿Dónde está el baño?""
which means, ""Where is the bathroom?""
¿Dónde están...?
Where are...?
Use this when you want to know the location of a group of objects or people.
Using this pattern, you can say, ""¿Dónde están los chocolates?""
meaning, ""Where are the chocolates?""
Me llamo...
My name is...
Using this pattern, you can say, ""Me llamo Luis,"" which means, ""My name is Luis.""
¿Puedes...?
Can you...?
You can use this to ask if someone has the skill or can do an action.
In a sentence, you can say, ""¿Puedes cocinar?""
to mean, ""Can you cook?""
Soy...
I am...
You can use this pattern when you are stating a permanent or lasting characteristic.
In this form, the verb ""to be"" can't be used with adjectives or
nouns to talk about a temporary state or location.
For example, ""I am hungry.""
You can say, ""Soy doctor,"" which means, ""I am a doctor.""

Where... from?
Using this, you can say, ""¿De dónde son ellos?""
meaning, ""Where are they from?""
This is used to inquire about where someone comes from.
Yo vivo en..., en...
I live in..., in...
Using this pattern, you can say,
Yo vivo en Chihuahua, en México, which means,
I live in Chihuahua, in Mexico.
With this pattern, you first talk about a large place such as
a country or state, and then specify a smaller location,
like a district or a city.

With this pattern, you can say that you do an action in a certain place.
For example, you can say, ""Yo enseño en la universidad,"" to mean,
I teach in the university.

Do you...?
Use this when you want to ask if someone does something.
Using this pattern, you can say, ""¿Tú cantas ópera?""
meaning, ""Do you sing opera?""
Me gusta...
I like to...
With this phrase, you can say what you like to do.
For example, you can say, ""Me gusta cocinar comida mexicana,"" meaning,
I like to cook Mexican food.
